Ordering & documents
I have a sample but no model number. Where do I start?

Send clear photographs and the dimensions that control the fit: the mounting feature, panel or edge, cable bundle and available space. Explain where the part is installed. An existing sample can help the discussion, but the selected replacement still needs to be evaluated against your requirements.

Which dimensions are most useful for a hole-mounted tie?

Provide the hole shape and dimensions, panel thickness, space behind the panel and harness direction. Include the bundle size and any drawing tolerance. A section view can be more useful than a product photograph alone.

Should I order by the trade size or the actual dimensions?

Use the model number and actual width and length together. For example, the sample product described as 3×100 mm in the old catalog lists actual dimensions of 2.5×100 mm. Confirm the published dimensions for the specific model before ordering.

Can you confirm a part from another supplier is equivalent?

A sample, drawing or reference can start a comparison. Fit, material and required performance need to be checked for the proposed model. We do not treat visual similarity or a matching name as proof of full equivalence.

Can I request free samples?

Free samples are available for evaluation. Confirm the model, quantity and shipping arrangements with our team. Sample availability and freight arrangements are discussed for the request.

What should we check when evaluating a sample?

Review the mounting fit, cable capacity, orientation, installation access and clearance in the intended assembly. Add any material, retention, temperature or other acceptance checks required by your own specification.

Do you develop custom parts from drawings or samples?

Yes. Xiaogu Electric supports OEM and ODM development with an in-house mold workshop and injection molding. Send the current drawing revision or sample details, critical dimensions, material requirements, estimated quantity and target schedule.

How long does a new mold usually take?

New mold development typically takes around two months, subject to project review. Tooling scope, costs, sampling requirements and milestones are confirmed for the individual project. This timing is separate from stock-order dispatch.

What is the usual lead time for stock orders?

Stock orders typically dispatch in 3–10 days, subject to availability and order confirmation. Custom tooling and production orders are reviewed separately against the agreed project scope and supply requirements.

What information is needed for a useful quotation?

Include the model or drawing, actual dimensions, material and color, quantity per item, destination and requested timing. Add any special packaging, inspection or documentation needs. If a requirement is not yet known, explain what you are trying to resolve.

Is there a single minimum order quantity for every product?

No fixed site-wide quantity is published. The applicable quantity depends on the model, material, stock and customization. Send the intended quantity for each item so the terms can be reviewed.

Can we discuss FOB or DDP shipping arrangements?

FOB and DDP arrangements can be discussed with the quotation. Provide the destination and delivery requirements. Final trade terms, freight arrangements and payment terms are confirmed for the order.

Which documents are available on the website?

View our ISO 9001 certificate, PA66 conformity document and CTI / SGS report covers in Downloads. Request the complete report for your selected model.

Does a material report apply to every product?

Certificates and test reports apply to their stated company, sample and scope. We can help identify the documents relevant to your model and material.

What quality checks are part of manufacturing?

Our quality process includes IQC, IPQC and FQC, supported by in-house tensile and high / low temperature testing.

Can you review a project-specific standard?

Send the required standard, model and application. We will review the available documents and any additional testing needed.

THE FASTENING VOCABULARY

Fastening Terminology

Six terms that help engineering and purchasing work from the same specification.

Actual size & trade description

A catalog name can be a convenient shorthand. For ordering, use the model and published width and length. The Xiaogu Electric 3×100 mm catalog description, for example, lists an actual size of 2.5×100 mm.

Tie length & bundle diameter

Tie length describes the strap; bundle diameter describes the cable group it needs to surround. Use the model’s published bundle capacity where available and evaluate it with your actual bundle.

Hole size & panel thickness

These describe different parts of a mounting interface. Supply both, together with hole shape and rear clearance, when reviewing a hole-mounted fixing.

Tensile evaluation & mounting retention

A tie-loop test and a fixing-retention test answer different questions. Specify which interface is being tested, the test method and your acceptance criteria.

Material family & exact grade

PA66, PA46, PA12 and ETFE identify material families in the product range. The selected grade and product specification determine which supporting data you need to request. Color alone does not define a performance specification.

Company certificate & sample report

A quality management certificate concerns its stated organizational scope. A sample report concerns the identified sample and test scope. Read the complete applicable document before using it for a part review.
